Specialisation SOLAR ENERGY

Personal Statement

In addition to my work on bioenergy and the development of solar-based technologies for water purification and food processing, which are focused on reducing waste and addressing the growing global energy demand, I have built expertise in modelling and simulation using both conventional statistical tools and modern machine learning algorithms. My current research intersects energy, climate, and artificial intelligence. I apply machine learning methods to analyse and predict environmental variables, particularly solar radiation and rainfall. These variables are critical to understanding and adapting to climate change, especially in tropical and developing regions. Artificial Intelligence, which now influences diverse sectors including robotics, automation, security, and natural language processing, is largely driven by machine learning. By adopting such tools in climate and energy research, I aim to bridge scientific innovation with practical applications that support sustainable development, particularly in Africa. I remain committed to advancing tools and methods that can improve environmental forecasting and inform decision-making in water and energy systems.
