Specialisation MEDICAL/RADIATION AND HEALTH PHYSICS

Personal Statement

I am a dedicated academic and researcher with a strong background in radiation and health physics. My research is driven by a commitment to addressing global health challenges, especially those related to cancer, where radiation exposure remains a significant but often unperceived contributor. I focus on the assessment of radiological hazards in various environmental media and among occupational groups. Through these studies, I seek to elucidate the pathways of radiation exposure to the public, radiation workers, and vulnerable populations such as pregnant women and children. My work aims to inform radiation protection standards, enhance environmental safety, and contribute to the prevention of long-term health risks from ionizing radiation. With a solid foundation in experimental and applied radiation physics, I continue to engage in multidisciplinary collaborations to advance understanding and promote evidence-based policies in radiation safety and public health.
